This mediaeval barn in Landbeach is in need of restoration and the Tithe Barn Trust, set up in 2014, is ‘aiming to save and sympathetically restore the barn for Community use’ (https://tithebarntrust.org.uk). FEAG has offered to contribute to this development by initially carrying  out some necessary geophysics before trenches can be dug by the water and electricity authorities and also by surveying an adjacent field in front of the barn.

The survey began last week with laying out of the grid and surveying the track using resistivity.

In the second week we are concentrating on surveying the field using both resistivity and magnetometry.
